What is a DTF Printer Machine?
A DTF (Direct to Film) printer machine is a digital textile printing system that prints designs directly onto a special PET film. The printed design is then coated with hot-melt powder and transferred onto garments using heat press technology. Compared with traditional printing methods, DTF offers greater flexibility, lower cost, and compatibility with various fabric types.
DTF Printer Machine Printing Process
The DTF Printer Machine printing process includes six main steps:
Step 1: Create the Design
Prepare and edit the artwork using graphic design software.
Step 2: Print on DTF Film
Use the DTF printer machine to print the design onto PET film with CMYK and white ink.
Step 3: Apply DTF Powder
Evenly coat the printed film with hot-melt adhesive powder.
Step 4: Cure the Powder
Heat the film to melt and cure the powder, creating a strong bonding layer.
Step 5: Heat Transfer onto Fabric
Place the film on the garment and transfer the design using a heat press machine.
Step 6: Peel & Finish
After cooling (or according to the film type), peel off the PET film to reveal the final print.
